Lemon Red Riding Hood
One day the Lemonhead decided to go visit Grandmother who lived on the other side of the enchanted wood. So he packed a lunch of kidney pies and bread puddings into a basket. Then put on his red riding hood and made ready to leave. Out the door and onto the path, the Lemonhead entered into the forest. The trees grew thicker and forest grew darker but he did not care for he was to see Grandmother today. He sang and picked colorful flowers as he was walking seemingly without a care in the world.

From a subterranian burrow a Spider saw the Lemonhead on the path. "I shall make a lunch of this odd traveler and the contents of his basket too" thought the Spider. "Hello my dear friend" said the Spider from the concealment of his burrow "where is it that you are going today." "I am going to visit Grandmother who lives in yonder village" said the Lemonhead pointing down the road. "In which house does Grandmother live?" asked the Spider. "She lives in the green house with yellow trim just on the edge of the forest. I am bringing her kidney pies for she is old and infirm" said the Lemonhead. "Well good day to you and travel well" said the Spider. The Lemonhead did a small curtsey and continued on his way.

As soon as he was out of site, the Spider emerged from his burrow and climbed the nearest tree. He then began to leap from tree to tree and was moving swiftly though the forest. Soon he had passed the Lemonhead who in the midst of a daydream did not even notice his passing. When the Spider reached the edge of the forest he saw the green and yellow house and climbed in through an upper story window. Quietly he crept down the stairs and found grandmother sound asleep in her bed. The Spider quickly devoured her. "Now for the main course" said the Spider as he put on grandmother's bonnet and slipped into her bed.

Just then the Lemonhead knocked on the door. "Grandmother I am here with lunch for you" said the Lemonhead. "Come in my dear" said the Spider. The Lemonhead entered and was quite surprised at how Grandmother looked. After placing the basket on the table, he moved in for a closer look at Grandmother.
"My what great long legs you have Grandmother" said the Lemonhead. "The better to embrace you with" said the Spider. "My what an assortment of eyes you have Grandmother" said the Lemonhead. "The better to see you with" said the Spider. "My what large fangs you have Grandmother" said the Lemonhead. "The better to eat you with" said the Spider who then sprang from the bed onto the Lemonhead.

The Spider bit into the Lemonhead to inject his poison. Unfortunately his bite had quite the opposite result that he intended for the Lemonhead was not like you or me. His lifeblood was pure citric acid and that did not sit well with the metabolism of the Spider who quickly fell dead.
