For kids of all ages

Dan Goodsell is a man of many talents. Here you'll find the wanderings of his kid-friendly imagination in the shape of cartoons, wood carvings, watercolors, and even a TV-friendly costume of Mr. Toast, one of his delightful characters. The flip side to this site is Tick Tock Toys, a rush of kid-oriented yesteryear consumerism. This whole site is a visual delight.

MR TOAST on BIG

On Friday July 16, I was invited to the set of the Discovery Channel's new Hit show BIG. They were putting on the finishing touches to the world's largest Toaster. Mr Toast got to get into the act by helping them reveal the finished toaster and testing it for the first time. It was a great time meeting Frank and the cast and crew. The episode will air sometime in September.

The Imaginary World
Dan Goodsell's artwork charms the heck out of us, and not just because his character Mr. Toast reminds us of the legendary Milk & Cheese (in looks, not behaviors). Drop by to check out his biweekly comic, read a few stories online -- we were particularly taken with the tour of Our Solar System -- and bask in the pop-cultural goodness that Goodsell has amassed here. Just knowing there's a place online that has its own wooden nickels fills us with great peace and joy.— HSS

TV Appearance

HG TV came and shot my space food collection for a show called Space Pads - my segment covered Tang, the Spoonmen and some other space kids foods - the show aired on October 26 - I am sure it will be repeated at some point so try to check it out

Gone into the Net
Mister Toast

Some time ago as description of desert contemporaries the formulation was established, they are flat like toast (??). Now there is to be sure no society for the protection of toast, but a courageous single fighter, which wants to provide again respect for its slices: the American child book author Dan Goodsell. On one side "the Imaginary World" leads us not only on the adventures of the very charming Mr. Toast and its friends, but also presents a collection of classical Cornflakes and candy packings. It also functions as documentation of the infiltration of childlike Fantasy by the consumer goods industry. After a visit here one knows, why Mr. Toast sometimes so sadly views.

Mister Toast
